My Story
Did you ever feel like you were stuck doing a job you didn't like just because you were good at it? That was me... I was told from an early age that I had to work hard in school so I could get a good job to secure my future. Because my strengths lie in the business field, that's the direction I was pushed - inevitably to work in an office.
As the years passed, I often thought about what I wanted to do when I grew up. At 58 years old, and with some enlightenment from my grandchildren, I had my "A-Ha" moment.
It was November 2023, the day after Thanksgiving when I had the grandkids at a Black Friday event, and the kids asked if we could get lunch somewhere. I remember standing there looking around thinking there wasn't anywhere to get a sandwich or hot dog. I realized then that the area I lived in didn't offer a place where people could get a quick, affordable meal, and I knew I could do something about that.
I spent a lot of time thinking about this new idea and a name for my new business when one day my husband Ron was reading the paper and said, "I didn't know our town had a paddy wagon" - and that was it! The Pattie Wagon was born, offering delicious food inspired by the Chicago paddy wagon concept.
My mission is to provide outstanding customer service and delicious food to the local community through the Patty Wagon food truck menu, becoming known as a fast, friendly, and affordable choice for meals.
